A poem.

(I found this in the Secret Room, on a Sunday afternoon in September)

If you were coming in the fall,
I'd brush the summer by
With half a smile and half a spurn,
As housewives do a fly.

If I could see you in a year,
I'd wind the months in balls,
And put them each in separate drawers,
Until their time befalls.

If only centuries delayed,
I'd count them on my hand,
Subtracting till my fingers dropped
Into Van Diemen's land.

If certain, when this life was out,
That yours and mine should be,
I'd toss it yonder like a rind,
And taste eternity.

But now, all ignorant of the length
Of time's uncertain wing,
It goads me, like the goblin bee,
That will not state its sting.

Wow - it is incredible, how much you are missing me :-) Pictures from me, pictures stolen from me, texts discovered in "our" secret room - I'm shocked.
I'll answer your email soon. And I'm thinking about applying for a program in Canada. Just to let you know ...

Have a good time!

Waitaminit. "Pictures" stolen from you?? That was ONE picture that I "borrowed" from you, and I did warn you beforehand! It's only because your camera does that cool panoramic thing and mine doesnt. And I guess your photography skills arent that bad either.
But I have to admit, the Secret Room isn't quite as much fun when I have to study there all by myself with no one to supply the German chocolate treats :(
That's cool that you're going to Canada! It's too bad I dont technically live there anymore though...
Good to hear from you!

Hey there - loved the pics of Budapest. Stan goes there next week. Any advice? And your life in NY sounds pretty amazing - Brad and all - be happy!

Hey there Mrs. K! I am taking your daughter to the opera tonight!! And then maybe for some live NY jazz after that! We will tell you all about it :)

Hope Mr K enjoys Budapest! I would definitely recommend a Hungarian bath...it is sooo relaxing! And the big palace/castle on top of the hill is pretty cool, he should check it out if he has a chance - he won't miss it, you pretty much see it from anywhere in the city.

Oh, and teach him to say: "ugy nezal ki mint egy görögdinnye". It means "you look like a watermelon".
You never know when you'll need it.
